On Sunday we attended a joint birthday gathering with the NCT babies. This time last year we’d only just met and were all nervously awaiting the arrival of our bundles of joy! Fast forward a year and were the proud owners of seven, mischievous little boys. With their birthdays so close together, it felt fitting that we organise a catch up in honour of their special days. Now that the boys are into everything it’s difficult to find a suitable location. We needed somewhere that would keep them entertained and the parents supplied with coffee and cakes! So what better place to hold the event than at the Tiny Feet Bistro!
I first popped by the Bistro back in November. It was a busy Wednesday morning and the cafe had been full of families. Upon arriving at Sunday lunch time it was nice to appreciate the cafe in a calmer setting. As we were the first to arrive, I took advantage of the perfect photo opportunity. Rory was co-operative (for once) so I managed to get some great snaps!
Soon the other boys started to arrive and as expected the cafe didn’t stay calm for long! One of the nice things about visiting a play cafe is that you don’t have to bring half the toy box along for the trip. When your child has the attention span of a bar of soap, amusement doesn’t last long. If you’re anything like me, you find yourself carrying an assortment of toys just to entertain them long enough for you to inhale a teacake.
It wasn’t long before everyone had worked up an appetite and the staff at the Bistro started to prepare our lunch. A beautiful buffet was brought out for the boys. It almost looked too good to eat! While the boys tucked into their treats, we got to sample some food from the menu. I opted for the Chicken, Avocado and Harissa Creme Wrap while Ryan chose the Chicken & Ham Club. They looked and tasted amazing. So delicious in fact that I forgot to take a photo!
We had a really great afternoon and the staff were all really lovely. I can’t recommend the Tiny Feet Bistro enough. If you’re looking for a location which can entertainment young children yet also provide tasty, flavoursome food at an affordable price then give it try!
Thank you so much to everyone at Tiny feet for your hospitality and thank you to our lovely friend Claire for organising the event!
Don’t forget The Tiny Feet Bistro is open Monday to Saturday if you fancy stopping by. Their coffee is really good and the cakes are even better!
