So if you saw my blog post on Friday you’ll already know that we made it to the pumpkin patch. We had such a brilliant day and picked some really fantastic pumpkins. We’re yet to start carving (that’s a job for next weekend) but I’m already looking forward to some pumpkin soup!
It turned out that Rory’s suspected chickenpox was in actual fact hand foot and mouth. While I would never wish an illness on my child it’s a tad disappointing we haven’t got the nasty pox out of the way!
As always it’s Monday which means it’s time to introduce this week’s New Blogger on the Block.
This series is all about showcasing the fantastic new talent on offer in the blogosphere. Each week I’ll be handing over the floor to my guest blogger as we get to know them a little better. This week it’s all about Rachael who blogs over at From Rachael Claire.
Please take a minute to introduce yourself and your blog.
Hi, I’m Rachael! I’m 25 and live just outside of Manchester. I have a three month old little boy, Thedore and live with my fiancé and our two fur babies Flo & Luna. My blog is From, Rachael Claire and it is a parenting and lifestyle blog.
What made you decide to start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to share my inner thoughts and ramblings. I have always been a keen writer, writing short stories and magazines when I was little, and this was an extension of that. From, Rachael Claire is like my online diary.
What’s your biggest blogging achievement so far?
It sounds cliché, but probably meeting so many like-minded people! I have friends but we have different interests so sometimes struggle to relate and I’m also the first of my friends to have a baby so being able to meet fellow parents, who are going through the same things as me, has been a life saver!
Is there a particular blogger who you look up to?
Hannah Gale is definitely my blogger inspiration. Her posts are always so down to earth and relevant!
Which one of your posts are you most proud of?
My Breastfeeding Journey post is definitely the post I am most proud of! It has my story and also includes other mummies breastfeeding journeys.
Where do you see your blog in 5 years?
Hopefully still growing and developing! I hope I’m still as passionate about it then as I am now!
Random Question – What came first, chicken or the egg?
The egg for sure!
I just love Rachael’s blog and her little boy Teddy is the most adorable little thing! One of the things I find so wonderful about blogging is how adaptable it is. Most blogs grow with you, as your life moves on they follow which is exactly what Rachael has managed to execute seamlessly. Her blog looks professional but friendly, with engaging content she’s definitely one to watch!
Fancy appearing in the next instalment? I’d love to hear from you!
If you’ve got a sec, please leave us a comment because we’d love to know what you thought!
