As you may have noticed, I only successfully managed five days of Blogmas. It’s unsurprising considering I only decided to take part on the 30th November. Starting with not many idea’s and little research was not the way to go. I’m holding my complete lack of organisation solely responsible for my failure and vow to be better prepared next year!
I may well be a Blogmas drop out but for once my failings have actually worked in my favour! I’ve had the opportunity to finish my Christmas and actually make a start on wrapping. I know it’s the 14th of December and to those ridiculously organised folk, perhaps I appear a little late off the mark. Nevertheless, for me, it’s a Christmas Miracle!
I’m a lover of all things festive but when it comes to Christmas shopping, I tend to tackle it like a man! In other words, I leave it until Christmas Eve then stick everything in a gift bag. Whilst I am trying to change my ways, it’s a hard one to crack. Even more so now I’m a parent.
Most weeks it’s a struggle to find the time to keep on top of the ironing. Throw Christmas into the mix and you’ll have to choose between clean pants or presents! How I’ll manage next year is anyone’s guess, but you never know we may have won the Lottery by then!
So now with my Christmas shopping complete, the decorations finally up and my second litre bottle of Bailey purchased (£11 at Costco – I knew there was a reason I got talked into renewing our membership), I’m finally feeling ready for Christmas!
All we now have left to do is take Rory to visit Santa this weekend…
Blogmas may have gone tits up but you can still check out all my festive posts my clicking on the picture below!
