Week 19 baby is a grapefruit.
This week I haven’t really had time to be pregnant, work has been so so busy and then no rest for the wicked when I get home! Paul’s new job means he works later now so we pretty much leave the house and get home at the same time. It means we do get extra time at night to chill out and aren’t rushing to bed like when he used to start work at 6am. The only problem with this is that I now have the opportunity to make tea at night for the 3 of us (this is normally Paul’s forte)…pot noodle sandwiches anyone?? I need to learn how to cook properly and fast…!
Baby brain has fully set in as well. Had a mishap where I went to take a cup of tea to work with me in the car, popped it on the roof of the car while I bundled Thomas in and all the school stuff. Sat in the car and set off….tea all over back of car and cup on the road.
This, coupled with Thomas having ADD is a recipe for disaster. He forgets pretty much anything and everything most days, and now I am following suit! I don’t know how we get through the day! At least he’s now back from his dads, but he is always out of sorts for a week or so when he gets back, as he gets out of his routine. We have to work hard to get him back to himself, just how we like him 🙂
We all took our annual trip to Blackpool on Saturday to see the illuminations. My sister and my nephews came along too and it was brilliant. The kids loved going on the pier and trying to win teddies on the games. Me, Paul and Thomas decided to stay over in a b&b and have a bit more time there, which worked out perfectly. We had a lovely night and got to chat about how this time next year, there will be four of us there!
We have had great fun with the Doppler this week. We have worked out that the baby reacts to us now if we put our hands on my tummy. We could trace the baby’s heartbeat and it seemed to move closer to us, wonder if it’s the heat and it knows it’s us?!
It’s our 20 week scan on Thursday and we are so excited to be half way there!
