Five things I dislike about my boyfriend…

As our anniversary creeps into sight I thought I would mark the occasion by sharing with you the five most annoying things that Ryan does which drive me crazy!

It is also serves a dual purpose of subtly reminding him it’s our anniversary on the 9th November and finding out if he actually reads my blog or just tells me that he does!

1. He turns lights on in the middle of the day
I wouldn’t mind half as much if he remembered to turn them off after. There’s nothing more annoying than returning home to find the bathroom light has been on all day!

2. He leaves his socks in the lounge
I’m still unsure why but for some reason every evening Ryan takes his socks off (or sometimes just one) whilst watching TV. He then leaves them (or it) somewhere on or around the sofa

3. He eats fruit in bed
The noise is irritating but what’s worse is the orange peel and apples cores. They sit happily on his night stand until I decide to clean them up!

4. He leaves his underwear drawer open
Ryan’s socks and boxer shorts live in the bottom drawer of our chest of drawers. He is perfectly capable of opening the drawer to retrieve socks and boxer shorts but for some reason is completely incapable of closing the drawer after.

5. He washes the baby bottles (at least he did until the incident the cafetiere) but doesn’t put them in the steriliser
Seriously, what good is a clean yet unsterile bottle to me! I have a tiny human threatening to start a nuclear war if he doesn’t get milk NOW!

These are definitely the things which I grumble about the most. Although I know they are just small bad habits which everyone is guilty of, even me!

In two years we’ve done what most couples do in a lifetime! It’s been an emotional rollercoaster but I couldn’t have done it without him by my side. He’s my best friend, an amazing father and hopefully one day I will be able call him my husband (hint hint)!

To many more happy years, no matter what x

Oh this is fab!! And so funny! The one sock phenomenon – my son does that too – what?! Hope your boyfriend does read this post – print it off and stick on the fridge! #MarvMondays

Ah this is adorable! Definitely a case of can’t live with and can’t live without them! Paul does the same with drawers in every room…it is like we have a poltageist 😊 Xx

I have learned over 27 years of being together that you have to get used to the little things that annoy you becasue they never change. My husband still leaves every draw and cupboard open. #MarvMondays

It has taken me YEARS to stop my husband putting rubbish on the kitchen side NEXT TO the bin but not in it! He eventually got the hint but I think it took a bit of a meltdown. For some reason he still does it with glass bottles. Can’t win them all I guess. I know I have annoying habits too so sometimes I just let things slide…. At least I try to.

Haha love this. As much as I love my husband he’s also very annoying at times. Thanks for joining us for #marvmondays

Lights left on is my biggest pet peeve. I broke the Hubster of that habit years ago but it was a rough few years of marriage with the lights. I was confiscating light bulbs because it drove me so crazy. #bigpinklink

Hah! I think I have one of them at my place too! Mine always forgets to turn off the lights in our room and drives me crazy when I get home and I see it still switched on!! I am curious to know if he did read this post? Thanks for sharing with #bigpinklink

Pahahahaahahaha this is such a good idea for a blog post, although if I did one then I don’t think I’d be able to stop at 5 or maybe even 10! #stayclassy

Happy anniversary! My husband has a habit of leaving lights on too – it drives me nuts when the light is on in a room that no one is using! He leaves wet tea bags in the sink too. #StayClassyMama

My kids turn all the lights on, they leave the tv on and they turn on the airconditioning but leave the windows open…so I hear you, but only louder! #Stayclassymama

Hehe so funny! The sock thing -why??? The fruit, I feel your pain, my husband eats fruit everywhere and leaves the cores and peels in odd places! I’ve watched him walking to the kitchen, put the peel down in the living room, then carry on to the kitchen passing the bin!!! Why?!? #ablogginggoodtime

I hear you sister and feel your pain. Most of the time it feels like I have an additional child in the house.#StayClassyMama

Hahaha omg my boyfriend does exactly the same thing!! Socks left in the living room, unsterilized bottles and the lights on! The lights really annoy me because not only is our electricity bill high, I hate knowing that were killing the environment too : (. Thanks for sharing with #stayclassymama!

This is so cute! What is it with people and not closing drawers and cupboards and things after they open it as well? That’s such a pet peeve of mine.
